Test your singletrack descending speed while riding the CircumBurke!
This informal classification facilitated by using Strava, encourages CircumBurkers to time themselves over two singletrack sections of the course and be recognized at the awards ceremonhy and on the Strava leaderboard. Just join Strava.com, download it and activate on your phone or GPS before the event. Strava.com automatically times riders over these pre-determined subsections of the route and produces a “leaderboard” ranking of the times over these tracks.
In 2017, this classification uses an improved a version of 2/4 mile “Clodhopper” trail and a “McGill’s Thrill” which starts at 2000 feet elevation and descends to 1300 ft. These longer lines include new machine worked berms and treadpaths as well as old school natural singletrack.
Rider please be aware that there will be other riders in your path throughout these descents and this Strava competition is just for bragging rights. Please respect slower descenders and alert them when passing. It is only for fun !
